When I lived in Scotland, I once walked through a huge protest over the issue of student bus passes - the passes were only issued to people under 25, and there were plenty of older students. Maybe the 92nd St Y is trying to avoid similar controversy.

Actually it's clever b/c the 92nd St. Y notoriously skewers Boomer and upwards and they want the young'uns to come. Having said that, will they be asking for ID? Are under-35 fake IDs the new in thing???

Sarah's right. I'm a week past my twenty-eighth birthday and am looking forward to seven more years of affordable events at the 92nd St. Y. (Though I should say that I opted to see Petterson for free at 192 Books last Tuesday.)

Maybe it's all a cross-promotion with the National Book Foundation's "5 Under 35" selections?
