S is for...oh never mind that for now. Let's call this "The Ed, The Other Ed, The DL, The Other DL"
The Other Ed has broken the story—this is from Publishers' Marketplace:
Cofounder of the Believer Ed Park’s debut PERSONAL DAYS, a comic novel about a group of office workers who suspect there is a mole in their group, to Julia Cheiffetz at Random House, in a pre-empt, for publication in May 2008, by PJ Mark at McCormick & Williams Literary Agency (world).
Strangely and delightfully, it was Ed (and also, separately, Sarah Weinman) who brought my attention to the notice's appearance this morning!
Needless to say, I'm ecstatic—nothing I can write here can quite convey my excitement over this development. (What you're reading now bears the palimpsest of a dozen scotched sentences.) I do like the description above—"comic novel" is the key phrase here!—and I hope people enjoy the book when it comes out. (Don't worry, Dizzyheads: The novel The Dizzies, which I'd put on hold while working on Personal Days, is my next project.)
* * *
Donning my blogging hat, I'd like to break some news about another book...by a Dizzyhead, no less! This is via Publishers Lunch Weekly (and as seen here):
NON-FICTION/BIOGRAPHY:
Former Village Voice film critic and New York Times writer Dennis Lim's biography of David Lynch, an in-depth examination of his four-decade film career as a producer, writer and director, to Tom Miller at Wiley, in a nice deal, by James Fitzgerald at the James Fitzgerald Agency (world English).
I can't think of a better matchup—DL on DL! They are the same...yet different...with different hair color. It's going to be great.

Ed! So exciting! I can't wait to read it.
Thanks, Molls!!
Looking forward to it!
"Classic" Goldman
I hope it's "classic" enough...!?
